Among the Temples of Angkor

A digital series shot on a Fujifilm X100VI in the Angkor Archaeological Park near Siem Reap, Cambodia. It moves between the great Khmer temples and the forest around them: the carved towers of Angkor Wat, the calm stone faces of Bayon and the face towers over the gates of Angkor Thom, with scooters passing underneath. Inside, the light drops and warms: a corridor of carved doorways, a monk in an orange robe kneeling before a headless Buddha, a seated Buddha under a golden parasol among flowers and incense. Outside, giant tree roots grip ruined walls, moss turns the sandstone of Ta Prohm green, and a causeway lined with carved posts leads through the trees to Preah Khan.
