Vydubychi Monastery domes in a warm haze
The green domes of St Michael's Vydubychi Monastery in Kyiv, with gilded tops and openwork crosses, rise above the treetops. The white drum of the church shows between layers of leaves, and behind it rows of tower blocks fade into a warm golden haze. Low light softens every edge and turns the whole sky one shade of amber. The long lens pulls the church and the far-off city together.
