Bell tower and lake in Lugano
A tall stone bell tower with a green copper dome above the terracotta roofs of Lugano, in the Swiss canton of Ticino. A big conifer leans in from the left, its drooping branches nearly touching the houses. Beyond the roofs the lake stretches to a dark wooded mountain whose outline fades into a grey sky. Stone, rust-red tiles and blue-grey water on a slightly melancholy day.
