Exploring Portugal

A digital series from Lisbon, Sintra and the Atlantic coast at Nazaré. In Lisbon the pictures climb steep steps lined with pots, follow a tram street down to the river, look across terracotta roofs to the white dome of the National Pantheon and find a street sign almost hidden by bougainvillea. In Sintra it's all hand-painted azulejos and ceramic plates by a shop window. Nazaré is a different world: big waves rolling onto a wide beach, spray catching the evening light, and a narrow street that ends in a strip of ocean.
