Yellow house by the Lisbon steps

Series: Exploring Portugal · Digital

A bright yellow house next to a worn stone stairway in Lisbon. Its doorstep has turned into a tiny garden: terracotta and turquoise pots, some painted with smiling faces, tall plants, a row of tiles and a vine with red flowers. A metal handrail runs up the steps on the right, and a tree spreads its branches over everything. The kind of lived-in corner you find all over the old parts of the city.
