Analog Alps: Swiss Landscapes
The Swiss mountains on film, through the seasons. In winter: snowed-in chalets at Melchsee-Frutt, ski racks below the Matterhorn and long tracks across the slopes near Davos. In summer the same country turns green: the Seealpsee and the Aescher inn under its cliff in Appenzell, cows on high pastures, a chalet flying the Swiss flag, a small boat on the Melchsee and the turquoise Oeschinensee seen through firs. The series ends with the long curve of the Aletsch Glacier in Valais. Film softens the snow and deepens the green of the meadows.
