Turquoise calm at Plathiena beach

Plathiena beach on Milos, with the sea almost perfectly still: clear turquoise near the shore, deepening to dark blue towards the horizon. A rocky headland of pale and rusty stone comes in from the left, and a distant island with a soft, hilly outline sits low on the water. More than half the picture is blue sky with wisps and small white clouds. Lots of space and air.
