A wide beach on Peru's Pacific coast, with the sun low enough to turn everything gold. The wet sand shines, seabirds crowd the water's edge and a single gull flies over. Far off, tiny figures walk past a few thatched umbrellas, and a dark headland fades into sea mist. Tyre tracks in the sand lead out towards the horizon.
