A short cobbled lane in Lima slopes gently down towards the sea, and at the end of it a narrow strip of blue ocean shows between the buildings. On the right, a salmon-pink wall runs under a big tree, with magenta and red bougainvillea spilling over it. On the left, behind two tall street lamps and a few potted plants, there's a pale green house with a teal garage door. Wires cross the hazy sky in long diagonals.
