Doorstep garden under a vine

On Paros, a vine makes a green canopy over the entrance to a white house with brown wooden shutters and a cream band along the wall. Underneath, the stone steps and an iron railing almost disappear behind dozens of terracotta pots: geraniums, pink roses, succulents, trailing plants, and one painted blue pot among them. Hanging baskets sway in the doorway. Bright sun and a patch of blue sky in the corner. Overgrown, cosy and very much lived in.
