Blue door, bistro chairs and a clay pot

A bright blue double door in an arched white wall is the centre of this little courtyard on Paros. To the left, a thin bougainvillea with a twisting trunk grows out of a big terracotta pot, and a blue shutter and picket fence pick up the colour of the door. A round metal table and two folding bistro chairs throw sharp lattice shadows on the pale paving, with dry leaves around their feet. A leafy shrub hangs in on the right.
