Ceramic plates and tagines at a medina shop

Series: Moroccan Vibes · Digital

A shop in the Marrakech medina is covered from the ground to the top of the doorway in hand-painted plates with turquoise, pink, cream and black geometric patterns. More plates hang on the open wooden doors, and the shelves inside are crammed with bowls, jugs and little figurines. Out front, striped and embroidered cushions are heaped on a bench next to a woven rug, and clay tagines stand in a row on the cobbles. A crowded display that somehow still looks tidy.
