The Matterhorn over a snowy ski slope

Series: Analog Alps: Swiss Landscapes · Film

The sharp pyramid of the Matterhorn towers over this winter view near Zermatt, its faces streaked with snow and dark rock. In front, a broad white slope is crossed by faint ski tracks, and the tiny skiers and walkers on it show just how huge the mountain is. Neighbouring ridges run off to the right under a pale, lightly clouded sky. The light on film is soft and even.
