A wooden hut under a heavy roof of snow
Series: Analog Alps: Swiss Landscapes · Film
A thick, rounded cap of snow hangs over the edge of a wooden hut's roof, almost covering its little square window. Beyond it, white slopes roll towards a ring of jagged snowy peaks, and a blue flag flies from a pole half buried in the drifts. Heavy clouds gather over the ridges, with bits of blue breaking through. Warm brown planks up close, and all around, the cold white of the Swiss Alps in the depths of winter.
