Kyiv Streets on 35mm
A summer walk through central Kyiv, all of it on 35mm film. It goes from the baroque outline of St Andrew's Church above its green slope to the gold domes of the city's churches, from a fountain full of young people to the paths of Mariinskyi Park, and up high for a look down Khreshchatyk. From Volodymyr Hill you look out over the Dnipro and its footbridge; in a sunlit passage hangs a map of Ukraine. At the park entrance, a rusty anti-tank obstacle stands among the greenery, an everyday sight in Kyiv now.
